It has an odd scenic nature. Almost calming. Watching the travelers go to and fro, from one destination to the next. Cars containing people that have lives that I will most likely never know anything about. But, somehow, watching their lives momentarily pass in a car that I will never see again makes me feel that we are somehow connected. The life I live as someone who might stay in that house on the corner and maybe look out of the window to watch the cars pass by on the highway. Do you ever think about the stories that have taken place on a highway? How many unwatched personal movies have taken place on this highway. A strip of land that takes a matter of seconds to pass. A blip. Imagine the countless lives that this blip has witnessed, welcomed, and bid farewell to. The highway with its ability to connect us all.
